Editorial standards

Sources, scope and clear limitations

Useful financial and property content needs more than a recent-looking date. This page explains the standards for the new Fiscus guide collection and its current limitations.

Start with the reader’s question

Guides should explain a defined decision, the checks that matter and a relevant next step. General education is kept distinct from a personal recommendation or professional assessment. Tools explain their inputs, method and exclusions.

Use primary sources for rules

The new guides link to official HDB, CPF Board and MoneySense material where relevant. Eligibility, legal and product questions should be reconciled with current official guidance, the reader’s own documents and the professional handling the matter. A competitor’s comparison page or an unsupported news summary is not a substitute for those checks.

Dates should describe what changed

An update date is not evidence that every claim has received an independent expert review. The new guides identify their update date. Historical information should be labelled with its period rather than presented as a fresh forecast. A named specialist-review credit is used only when that person has actually reviewed the work.

Correct the content, not just the date

When an error is confirmed, the relevant passage should be corrected and material changes made clear. Readers can report issues to contact@fiscusfinance.com with the page address, passage and any relevant primary source. We do not promise a response deadline that has not been established.

No invented rankings or guarantees

This release does not provide a comprehensive insurer, bank or agent ranking. It does not claim that participating partners cover the whole market. Examples and calculator results are not offers, approvals, guaranteed savings or expected investment returns.

Commercial relationships must be visible

Fiscus is operated by Lixtus Private Limited, which has commercial relationships with agent clients. Advertising and introductions may generate income. Readers should review the About page, privacy policy, individual form disclosures and the professional’s own disclosures before proceeding.

The legacy archive remains a separate limitation

The older news and article archive is retained at its existing URLs. A full claim-by-claim review of that archive has not been completed. The new Property and Insurance hubs highlight the focused guide collection instead of presenting every older article as current, verified advice.
